Parallelisms
If you are a really Jemma addicted, then you should have noticed many parallelisms.
Scenes that recalls other scenes showing a new meaning or underlining the same concept in a different way. A lot show how similar is what they feel for each other and some other show how they grow up. How they change.
We do not believe al these scenes are coincidences.
We do believe the writers of the show have planned this in advance.
And we appreciate all this care for this story.

Hand's kisses.Ep 149 and Ep 234:
In ep 149 Jenny kisses Emma's hand after Emma is worrying over her coming out. In ep. 234 Jenny and Emma wake up and Emma kisses Jenny's hand. It is after Jenny realization of her parents death. This is a reassuring gesture and underlines that now is Emma who is the stronger. That is adult and fearless. That she can take care of Jenny as Jenny took care of her in the past. |
Spying you...

Touching
Ep. 148 and ep.197
In ep. 148 Jenny and Emma are finally together. Alone in Jenny's room they start to kiss. Jenny's hand slowly explore Emma's skin but Emma stops Jenny before things go out of hand because she is not ready to sleep with her yet. Jenny reassures Emma and they just cuddle together. In ep. 197 Emma is kissing Jenny and this time is her hand that is exploring Jenny's body. But Jenny, unexpectedly, stops Emma. Jenny is very nervous and she needs to make it clear that their first time together is very important also for her. |
Ben's bed
Ep. 138 and ep. 197
In ep. Jenny and Ben have sex. Both are drunk and frustrated with their love stories (Bea and Emma). So it happens. In Ben's room. In ep. 197 Emma and Jenny are in Ben's room because they help Bodo to find the right outfit to go to his first date with Lara. So they borrow him Ben's clothes. When Bodo leaves, Emma decided that this is really the moment to take a step forward and to make love with Jenny. And they did it in Ben's bed. It was probably a choice of the writers and not a mistake as someone can speculate or something that happens by chance. Their first time was meant to happen in Ben' s Bed. The writers can show us a totally different situation: a shy Jenny in front of her big feelings and a tender and devoted love between them in comparison to a night of sex without any feelings involved with Ben. (the difference is also stressed by the use of light: dark with Ben and soft and colorful with Emma) They do not care nothing at all. In this moment they do not care time or space. They are lost in their own world. This choice may also mean that the past is totally deleted. All the mistakes are forgiven. |
Frustration
Ep. 98 and 105
In ep. 98 Emma is angry because Jenny won the Radio Contest and now the STAG have to help the Volleyball team. So she hit the vending machine. They use the more or less the same words (and this cannot be something that happened by chance...) Jenny: Hey, that’s a vending machine. It isn’t to blame for your bad mood. (Suddenly the machine is working.) You see? (Jenny takes the cup and hands it to Emma.) A little patience and then… Emma: That’s my cocoa. In ep. 105 Jenny has problems opening her locker. She gets frustrated and hits the door. Emma is there to apologize with her for her "Normal" . Emma: It isn't the locker's fault that you are in a bad mood. You see? A little patience and... |
