Q and A with Partoetorno (aka Kikky Martin)
So Kykky, how did you first find out about Hahe? Was it the Jemma storyline that caught your interest?
I found out about Hahe thanks to YouTube. For some days it suggested that I watch some Jemma fan videos . I ignored them at the beginning as I was not interested to follow a story of teenagers in a German school but one day I gave it one chance and I was lost. I liked the Jemma story for so many reasons. One is that it is not only the story of two people who fall in love but you can see them grow and change day by day thanks to the relationship . It is amazing too to feel all the love and care that the writers had taken to describe their love .It is a wonderful story of a love that can heal.
Had you written any fan fictions before Jemma?
No and I did not know about them and what they were. When the show was still on TV and some people were writing already about them I thought that it was a nonsense . I thought ‘well the story is on TV and it is telling is all that we want’. At that time I did not want to read them. I believed that no one could write about Jemma but the authors of the show. I was scared to read some stories that could be very distant from Jemma as it was pictured on the TV show.
Do you remember the first fan fiction you read?
I used to think I will never read fan fiction but then the show was over and I began to read some and I was so amazed by all the love and tenderness and creativity that I found into each story . Everyone has inside little precious pieces of Jemma love maybe I’ve started reading ‘In to her’ and then ‘Lost in green eyes’ and PT Cruz if I am not wrong.
What is it for you that makes Jemma such an important couple?
The message of a devoted and pure love . A love which is able to change people and to heal broken hearts . A love that never judges and if you are talking about the success of the couple, the 2 amazing actresses. Everything seems so natural with them. Jenny and Emma seem alive and in love, thanks to their great performance.
Have you ever seen Kasia or Lucy perform in person?
Yes I’ve seen Lucy as Ich in Rebecca.
What were your views of that performance? Did she surprise you?
Before the show I had an interesting tour of the backstage. I like this musical a lot, Rebecca is one of my favourite musicals along with Wicked and Rudolf, Elizabeth and The Sound of Music. I’ve read the book and it is amazing it really is important if you decided to go to see this show . Lucy was great, along with Pia (Mrs. Danvers) and Thomas (Maxim). She plays with passion every single scene and it is always on stage for 3 hours. I was surprised by her physical strength!
If I can say this, because I’ve seen other performance of other "Ich" I can tell that Lucy's “Ich” is less naive and more mature and from the very beginning you can say that she has inside this great passion and step by step she free herself and she becomes a woman ready to fight for her family with a great determination . You can sense this explosion is going to happen from the beginning and the way she stays on the stage is interesting to me. Lucy uses her body with the same intensity then her voice.
Other than Jenny and Emma who was your favourite character in HaHe?
I like Timo very much even if he is always in trouble because he cannot decide.
If the show had continued where would you have liked to see the characters go?
Well I was curious to know that the future will be for all of them, it would have been great to see them at university and maybe a super holiday together. But what is more interesting would be to see them in the moment they start to go to work to see what they will chose as a job.
In your opinion what is the best thing about the Jemma fan base?
It is great how they collaborate it is a big group of people all around the world of different cultures and way of living but all Connected
Have you met up with and Jemma fans?
No until now it is not happened yet.
